WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar was voted the Wrestler of the Year for 2014 in the official Pro Wrestling Illustrated year-end awards issue, available now in print and digital formats. The featured article is entitled “How to Win Wrestler of the Year in 61:49″, and covers Lesnar’s incredible year winning the world title, ending the Undertaker’s streak and destroying John Cena in just four matches.

NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte was voted in as the “Rookie of the Year”, almost 39 years to the date that her father, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, won the same award in 1975.

News - End Of An Era For WWE "Final Issue of WWE Magazine" - Back/Front Cover Inside
The final issue of WWE Magazine October 2014 issue is now -- available. Subscribers were given two options  1) do nothing and receive a refund for any -- unfilled issues or 2) receive a free 30-day pass to WWE Network.

It’s sad to see -- WWE Magazine cease production. I always felt WWE did an exceptional job with the publication and it’s something I’ve read since my childhood. However, I was -- seriously considering canceling my subscription just because I didn’t have time to read it. There’s so much content available, the magazine was just the old way of doing business. Still, I feel bad for all of the people that lost their jobs because the publication was nixed. (

WWE Magazine is closing up shop after 31 years in publication. WWE decided to cease all operations as part of ongoing budget cuts with the final issue being the October 2014 issue.
