It was announced on Monday night's edition of WWE Raw that Charlotte will defend the Divas Championship at the upcoming WrestleMania 32 event in Dallas, Texas. Charlotte will defend the title against either Becky Lynch or former NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks. It was also announced that the two will face off in a match to determine who will challenge Charlotte for the title at the event, though it was not specified when that match will take place.

Sasha Banks is currently dealing with an undisclosed injury according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter which is why she disappeared from television over the past week.

Banks last competed in Brooklyn on Dec. 28 in which she won against Becky Lynch.

Given we don't know the seriousness of her injury it may be wise to assume WWE are playing it safe and keeping her off television to prevent further injury given they have several top names already out with serious injury.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported Monday night’s ‘Miz TV’ segment was actually supposed to be laid out entirely different than what was seen on air. According to reports, Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Paige, collectively known as PCB, were supposed to tease some dissention amongst each other, but it didn’t come across that way.
The trio was apparently supposed to all make their case at getting a title shot against Divas Champion Nikki Bella, hinting that their alliance might be shortlived.

The official WWE website is reporting WWE Diva Layla, who has been with the company since 2006 is retiring from the ring.
In an exclusive interview with WWE.com Layla gave the following reasoning behind her departure:
"I’ve been traveling the world for nine years now and sometimes it’s just time to start the next chapter of your life. Traveling on the road was fun, but the older you get, it takes more time for recovery. I just got tired of the travel part."
She also revealed it wasn't an easy decision to make:
"I feel like deciding to retire from the ring has been a hard decision to make because I’m passionate and I love performing. I’ve known everybody in that company now for nine years. They’re family. I spend more time with crew and Superstars and Divas on the roster than I did with anybody else. It becomes part of your life. And not only that, it’s hard walking away from the fans. Part of me feels a little bit guilty for walking away because [WWE fans] are 100 percent loyal and have supported me since 2006. I wouldn’t even have this job if the fans didn’t vote in the Diva Search. I was able to win that competition because of them and I was blessed. But sometimes you just need to step out and take a risk and move onto the next phase in life."

Former WWE Diva Eve Torres has announced via her Instagram.com page that she is expecting her first child with husband Rener Gracie.

Torres also announced that she is due to give birth in September.
On behalf of everyone at WrestlingNewsSource.com, we would like to offer our congratulations to Eve and Rener on the upcoming birth of their child, and we wish them all the best.
